| Norns are from a computer game called Creatures (and Creatures 2 + 3, where you can also breed grendels and ettins). They live in a world called Albia - where they sleep, eat, breed, talk (in their own language, which comes up as English in speech bubbles) and learn words and actions etc. They are like any other virtual pet because they get sick, bored, hungry and die, but you can selectively breed them to create your own norns. They can fend for themselves but usually they need looking after. | I named some of the norns (above) after my friends (eg. Kealey, Fran), some are made up (eg. Noonoo, Dopey) and some my friends named (Natasha F named Natasha and Nicx). Some I breed myself (Vicki), hatched from the hatchery (Dopey) or got from the internet (Tornado). On the internet you can get different nationality norns (eg. german), which makes the speech bubbles come up in that language. |
